Lesson Minutes Policy

Version 3 · in effect from 2026-08-19

This policy covers minutes included in a paid lesson plan. It does not apply to the self-study material, which your plan does not meter.

1. Minutes expire at the end of each billing month

Your plan grants a number of lesson minutes at the start of each billing period. Whatever is unused when that period ends **expires and does not roll over**; the next period starts with a fresh allowance. Your balance and its expiry date are shown wherever you book.

2. Cancelled lessons

Each teacher sets a cancellation deadline, and the deadline shown when you book is the one that applies to that booking. It cannot be changed for a booking you already hold.

  • (a)If you cancel in time, the minutes return to your balance and their expiry moves out by 10 days from the original date.
  • (b)If your teacher cancels, the minutes return and their expiry moves out by 30 days from the original date.
  • (c)If you cancel late, or do not attend, the minutes are used.

An extension is measured from the minutes' original expiry date, so repeated cancellations of the same booking do not stack extensions.

3. When your plan ends

Cancelling your plan does not shorten the life of minutes you already hold: they remain usable until their own expiry dates, including any extension under section 2, even where that runs past your final billing period. No new minutes are granted after the final period ends.

4. If we stop operating

If we close the service, we will **refund unused minutes at the rate you paid for them**. We will notify you before we stop taking bookings, and the refund is an obligation we owe you under this policy, not a discretionary gesture.

5. What minutes are not

Minutes are credit for lessons on this service. Apart from the refund in section 4, they have no cash value, cannot be transferred to another account, sold, or exchanged, and are not a deposit or stored-value instrument.

6. Precedence and your statutory rights

On the subject of lesson minutes, this policy prevails over the Terms of Service. Nothing in it limits the rights you have under the consumer law of your country, including any cooling-off or cancellation right that mandatory law gives you.
